It's time.

Yura's put off this day long enough. But only because she wanted to perfect certain aspects of her new powers. If she was going to talk to her cousins, gloat, smile as their hearts broke, she needed to protect herself. The Jungs have always been annoyingly hot-headed and over protective. Especially her younger cousin, Soo-Yun.

After practicing with Lee  (he's such a peach, really), Yura finally feels like she can protect herself from her cousins. She dresses up in a pretty sundress, perfect for summer. Her hair is curled perfectly. She looks innocent and beautiful as she leaves her condo and steps out into the Saturday morning sun. Damn, she'd rather be sunbathing right now, but this is more important. She all but struts through town, noticing every double-take and person that quickly moves out of her way. They may not know her, but Yura gives off the aura of someone extremely important. Someone who shouldn't be touched or looked at directly.

She arrives at the gate to the cottage ten minutes later, rolling her eyes as she takes in the...quaintness of it. So very Jung, she thinks. Just because you are poor doesn't mean you have to look it. Yura made a living out of lying about her wealth and she's disgusted her cousins can't even pretend they have a nickel to their name. She carefully steps along the path to the front door, cursing when one of her Louis Vuitton heels splashes into a puddle. Still, she composes herself. Nothing's going to ruin this day for her.

Yura plasters on a pretty smile and knocks on the door.

Her sobs give way to quiet hiccups and she backs off, brushing her tears away and wincing when it jars her broken hand. "I think I need to get this set... That was dumb of me."

"Hey, you just managed to do it before me," Riley reassures her. "Come on, let's get you fixed up, okay?"

She nods, getting to her feet and trying to fix her hair. "Let me just get dressed and I'll meet you out here in a few..."

"Okay..." Riley busies herself grabbing a jacket and her bag while she waits for Val at the door.

She carefully changed out of her pjs into shorts and a tank top before heading for the door. "All right. I'm ready when you are," she sighs, grabbing her purse.

Riley links her arm into Val's uninjured one, leading her out of the cottage and toward the hospital. "We should have a seance," she says finally, the thought clouding her mind. "For a proper goodbye."

Val's eyes light up slightly at the thought. "Think we could? Maybe she can give us some information on where our parents are too, since the bitch clearly isn't going to."

"I think we could do it. We'll need to look into it first, since we've never done one. But we're stubborn enough to make it work," she grins. They arrive at the hospital and Riley makes Val sit down in the waiting area as she talks with the nurses and fills out the necessary paperwork.

"I pulled some strings," she says, grabbing Val and leading her into a private room. "Dr. Andre's going to see you personally."

"Awesome," she says, smiling genuinely for the first time that day. She hops up onto the doctor's table, swinging her legs until he shows up. Within minutes, he's set her hand and put a cast on to harden. He writes out a prescription for painkillers and hands it to Riley, with instructions to not let her take too much at a time.

Riley takes all the paperwork and instructions before helping Val off the table again. "Alright, let's drop off this script at the drug store and then get you some ice cream. Deal?"

Val grins. "You always know just how to make me feel better, unnie. Ice cream it is."

They head to the drug store first where the pharmacist fills the prescription rather quickly. Riley measures out the recommended dose, handing the pills and a bottle of water to Val. "Take these and you can have another in six hours. If it still hurts, I can charm it a bit."

Once Val's medicated, Riley helps her sister to the ice cream shop where she orders Val's favourite--triple scoop of rocky road. She orders herself a cone of cake batter ice cream and sits with Val at one of the little bistro tables outside. "Here you go, Soo-Yun. Just for you."

She takes the dose and the ice cream and sits, eating it happily. She's about halfway done with it when the pain killers start to kick in.

"Oh... Ohhh." she says, a tiny grin poking up the corner of her mouth. "These are good, Riley. Veeery good."

Riley laughs at her sister. "No doing anything stupid while on the painkillers, okay?"

She looks up from her lap, raising her eyebrows. "Is texting Grant stupid...???"

[jiyunnies]

Riley eyes her sister. "Prooobably. You might regret those texts."

[bewitchinghaze]

She leans over, conspiratorially. "I told him he's pretty."

[jiyunnies]

"I guess that's not...too bad. He is really pretty."

[bewitchinghaze]

"Hold on. I'mma tell him I wanna make out with him, okay."

[jiyunnies]

"Vaaaaaaaaallll, it starts off with "you're pretty I wanna make out" but it quickly turns into "I wanna have your babies." Be carefullll."

[bewitchinghaze]

She smacks a hand down on the table, nearly knocking off a napkin holder. "No. No babies. Ever. This uterus is closed for business."

She laughs, catching the napkin holder. "I know that. But painkillers make you say crazy things."

"Well not that!! I'm on drugs, I haven't been lobotomized," she scoffs, taking an angry bite out of her cone.

"Okay okay. You should still hand me your phone. Before you say something you regret."

[bewitchinghaze]

Val scrunches up her face. "Mmmm... Nope."
